We are delighted to share a new opportunity for PhD students and post-docs who want to explore how their skills can be used in innovative start-ups on the mission to improve quality of later life.
The deadline for applications is March 10th 2023, so there isn’t much time left.
Through this programme, we aim to help students become better equipped to explore the opportunities that exist for research-based roles outside academia, and specifically in mission-led commercial innovation.
Students on the programme will:
- Gain experience of direct work with startup founders and ventures
- Benefit from personal and professional development through one-to-one supervision/mentorship with the Zinc team
- Join a cohort of students engaging with this programme, with opportunities for group learning.
This opportunity is part of an exciting partnership between Zinc (a mission-led venture builder) and the British Society of Gerontology’s Special Interest Group on Ageing Business and Society. Applications are invited on-line through the completion of a short form. There is more information about the opportunity, including a bursary to support students’ participation in this document which you are welcome to share.
We encourage you to share this excellent opportunity with other people in your professional network, or if an internship appeals to you, we look forward to receiving your application.
